Thank you Robin Crossan

Thank you Robin Crossan

Last night, we honored Robin Crossan as he retired from the Colonial Board of Education. A pillar of the Colonial community whose life has been defined by decades of unwavering dedication to education and service, Mr. Crossan concludes his time in Colonial which included time both as a teacher and a board member. With tributes from the Crossan family, members of the school board and Senator Nicole Poore, Robin’s amazing impact on Colonial and our community was celebrated and applauded.

Robin's teaching career began in January 1975, teaching Agriculture at Eisenberg Junior High School in the De La Warr School District. He went on to teach Agriculture at William Penn High School (1978-1980, 1992-1994) and notably spent significant time at Wallace Wallin School (1980-1992) and John G. Leach School (1994-2014), both schools for disabled students, where he taught Agriculture and later Special Education

Even after retiring from full-time teaching in 2014, Robin continued to serve, teaching summer school at Newark High School, the Meadowood program, and John G. Leach School through 2016.

Beyond the classroom, Robin's commitment to his community shone brightly. He was elected three times to the Colonial School District School Board for District G, serving from 2018 to 2025.

Please join us in thanking Robin for all he has done for Colonial Nation. Once a Colonial, Always a Colonial.
